Rendering from Imagination
This course will address three main subjects important in visual development for video games: props/weapons/vehicles, characters, and environments. Students will learn how to execute, from start to finish, rendered and polished digital art for each category.
By the end of the course, students will fully understand the basic approach and finish at least three categories that are developed extensively in video games: props/weapons/vehicles, characters, and environments. Students will also complete the course having finished works of potentially up to 9(nine) portfolio pieces that can be used to attain jobs.

Donald Yatomi is a freelance illustrator, concept artist and oil painter. He graduated from Art Center College of Design and worked in the entertainment design industry for the last 28 years. He initially started his career as a background painter for DreamWorks on animated films such as Prince of Egypt and the Road to El Dorado. He then worked in video games as a concept artist as well as an Art Director for Sony Playstation. At night, Donald has always painted for art galleries in the last 24 years.
Currently he is freelancing for video games, board games and album covers as well as painting full time for five art galleries in California, Oklahoma, Oregon, Montana and Utah.
