Cultivate a Deep Understanding of Color Semantics

The Color Key Art Course envisions a learning experience where students embark on a creative journey to master the art of designing compelling color keys and color scripts. We aspire to cultivate a deep understanding of color semantics and color theory, empowering students to use color and light as a powerful storytelling tool in visual narratives.

The course will equip students with a comprehensive understanding of color theory, covering principles like color harmony, values, and mood establishment. On the technical side, we will guide students through the process of creating captivating color keys, allowing them to seamlessly integrate color with narrative elements. The classes will also encourage students to unleash their creativity by culminating the course with the creation of their own CS using a provided storyboard as a canvas for their visual storytelling.

The student will finish the course with a full CS designed from scratch and several finished color keys to add to their portfolio.
